Full Day Trips (8-10 hours, lunch included)

Middle Yough Float
This is a 10.5 mile float trip of the Middle Youghiogheny River starting in Confluence and ending in Ohiopyle. The PA Fish and Boat Commision has designated this section of the Yough River with Trophy Trout regulations. This is our most scenic float with the chance to catch a trout of a lifetime, both Rainbow and Brown Trout. There are also trophy smallmouth in this section of river.

Bottom Yough Float
This is a 13.5 mile section of river between Connesville and Layton. We will choose a section of the river depending on the desired species of fish you would like to target. Trout, Bass, Muskie, Carp, and Walleye are all options on this float.

Wade
On foot, we will explore the many trout fisheries of the Laurel Highlands. Some examples include the outflow section of the Yough River, Meadow Run, Laurel Hill Creek, and Whites Creek. We also offer “Blueline Trout Trips” if you would like to explore the hidden gems of the Laurel Highlands in search of native and wild fish.

Half Day (4-5 hours, no lunch)

Dam – Ramcat Yough Float
This 3.5 mile float through the town of Confluence focuses on trout fishing with a chance at some solid Rainbow and Brown trout. This float is perfect for beginners through experienced anglers. Very popular in the summer if you want to skip out of work early and fish the evening hatch. This stretch is the outflow of the dam and experiences hatches year round.

Cancellation Policy

LHGS may cancel or reschedule any trip due to adverse weather or fishing conditions; we do not cancel for rainy days. Should we decide to cancel your trip, your deposit or full payment will be applied to another open date of your choosing. If no dates are suitable – payment will be refunded in full. If you cancel your trip for any reason, your deposit will be forfeited. If a date is cancelled by the client within 10 days of the trip, the full amount of the trip will be charged in full via the credit card on file. All cancellations must be made in writing via [email protected]
